Blast from the Past - TX/OU

Jackson and I went to the TX/OU game last month. I've been to the fair during TX/OU weekend but not actually to a game. What fun! (even if we lost)... Unfortunately, Jackson heard quite the load of curse words from the crowd. His favorite was the chant "OU SUCKS"! He liked to call the players "suckers".

Longest Tri Yet!

Tom and I participated in the Toyota US Open Triathlon in October. Yes, we're morons. I'm just resigned to the fact that I have to do these silly things now. It was held in Rockwall at Lake Ray Hubbard (I think...I get that lake and Ray Roberts confused). Anyway, it was an 800 meter swim in open water (gross), 12 mile bike ride through Rockwall and a 3 mile run. Nobody told me how hilly Rockwall is! Dang!!!

Also, we were afraid of the weather. It'd been pretty cold leading up to the race weekend and we were concerned about swimming in the lake without a wetsuit. We went to pick up our packets on Saturday and had a chance to get in the water to test it out. It was pretty cold but bearable. Of course, that was at 12pm and the race started at 7:30am. Fortunately for us, it wasn't too bad on race day. I jumped in and was freaked and it ended up being okay. It must have warmed up the day before or something. It felt warmer than when we jumped in on Saturday. 800 meters is a REALLY long way. I was exhausted after getting out of the water and I still had to ride and run. But, I persevered!

Pumpkin Carving!

We had a pumpkin carving contest at work between the different departments. Luckily, my skills weren't tested....because I would have won! Yeah, right.

I really liked this one. It's a true pumpkin carving.

I'm Back!

I know. I know. It's been forever. I am back to posting! To catch my peeps up, it won't be in any order.

Most importantly! Cute boys have arrived!

Baby Cash arrived in early September!

And, Baby Andrew arrived last week! He had to do his trick-or-treating in the hospital.

Senor got to meet him tonight and even held him. He wasn't too freaked.

My Always, Sometimes, Never List

I like to read other blogs...people I know and people they know. I read one recently that listed her "Always, Sometimes, and Never" and thought it was cute and decided to do one for myself. Here goes:

I always:
go to sleep with a sleep mask on.
eat breakfast.
make my bed before going on a trip (really the only time I make it).
need to be planning my next trip.
get annoyed at cars that back into parking spaces.

I sometimes:

eat a mixture of fritos and cottage cheese for a snack.

don't get out of my pjs until 7pm on weekends.

will sing Eminem loudly in the car.

slip and say a naughty word in front of a kid and get "the look" from the parent.

understand what Tomas is talking about when he discusses the market.

I never:

wake up with the sleep mask still on.

fall asleep quickly without The Golden Girls playing.

get out of participating in family competitions.

forget random dates (significant or insignificant).

have trash left in my car.

Are we living near the equator?

This is ridonkulous! My car registered 112 yesterday. I know we complained when it snowed multiple times this winter/spring, but, come on. 112? That's just silliness.

My New Obsession

My new obsession are the fruit smoothies from McDonald's. The WildBerry is delicious!!!
